Principal Objectives / Purpose :

Essential Functions :
Plan, prepare, and deliver courses within set timeframes, ensuring alignment with educational standards and student needs.
Develop course curricula with goals, objectives, methods, assignments, and instructional aids, executing lesson plans effectively.
Create and implement individualized education plans, regularly assessing and adjusting based on student achievements.
Use diverse instructional methods to cater to different learning styles, fostering effective communication with students.
Document and track student progress, maintain accurate records, and submit grades promptly to the Registrar.
Monitor and address individual student talents, abilities, and challenges to enhance learning outcomes.
Foster positive self-esteem and individual development in students across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive aspects.
Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents / guardians, and colleagues, aligning with the school's educational philosophy.
Attend required training, conferences, staff, and parent / guardian meetings.
Compile and report statistical data showcasing student and school progress.
Implement effective classroom management strategies for a conducive learning environment.
Maintain equipment and materials efficiently, ensuring orderly classrooms and storage areas.
Perform assigned duties and remain flexible in adapting to evolving program tasks.
Minimum Qualifications :
Hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area or possess 24 or more semester hours of study in the appropriate field.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to teamwork, positive attitude, and high-quality customer service.
Continuous commitment to learning and skill development.
Utilize positive youth development practices.
Experience working with at-risk youth is a plus.
Bilingual and bi-cultural skills are advantageous.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving program tasks.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in standards-based education and training, including alternative teaching strategies.

Background check includes reference checks, employment, education, and criminal background searches.
Certification / Licenses / Other Requirements :
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Valid Arizona Driver's License.
Use of an insured personal vehicle for agency business.
Valid Arizona State English Teacher's Certification (9-12) in the appropriate subject area.
Work Environment :
This role operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment.
Physical Demands :
Primarily a sedentary role, with occasional filing that may require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing as necessary.
