Job Summary
We are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for assisting clients by providing skills, client education, rehabilitative mental health services, functional assessments, level of care assessments, and treatment plans to adult clients.
We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We are specifically looking for motivated, hardworking, and dedicated Mental Health Practitioners to provide valuable support to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients and others aides in day-to-day programming
- Instructing, assisting, and modeling mental health symptom management
- Facilitate educational sessions with clients to help them understand their mental health diagnoses
- Maintain a clean, safe, healing environment for all staff and clients
- Restock equipment and supplies, as needed
- Maintain excellent records of client interactions, and report anything concerning immediately
Education / Licensure / Certification / Experience Requirements
1. Must Meet One of the Following Qualification Criteria :
- High school diploma and :
- 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with Mental Illness (MI), Developmental Disability (DD), Intellectual Disability (ID), or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
- Have completed 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits in behavioral science or a related field and :
- Proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields
- Has 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with MI, DD, ID, or TBI
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science or related field and :
- Proof of a practicum or internship requiring direct interaction with adults and focusing on MI, DD, ID, or TBI
2. Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services background check
