Position Summary

The Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH), within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

The mission of CBH is to address behavioral health care disparities through : health services research and evaluation; training and workforce development;

and through increasing access to quality behavioral health services that are holistic, cost-effective and provided with respect to unique cultures and communities.

CBH is seeking a Program Manager to serve as support for the Vice Chair of Research and as a Research Lead Evaluator. Duties include :

  • Administrative evaluation oversight, including database and curricula development, development of tracking systems and program metrics, creating processes for cross-site data collection and entry, and reporting responsibility;
  • Responsible for fidelity assessments of evidence-based practices and of project sites, report summarization that includes results and action steps;
  • supervision and training for site evaluators and guidance of lower level staff;
  • Oversee IRB compliance and other regulatory requirements;
  • Assist with programmatic administrative activities, systems management, and information dissemination;
  • Develop project curricula and serve as a content expert on associated curricula;
  • In collaboration with the Vice Chair of Research, manage logistics for a large Department Annual Research Day event, including but not limited to developing flyers, developing systems for abstract submission and evaluation;
  • managing registration, chairing event committees, and developing final reports of all conference proceedings;
  • In collaboration with the Vice Chair of Research, oversee the Physician Scientist track within the Department, including the collection of quarterly feedback from residents and mentors and producing an annual report on residents’ accomplishments;
  • Serve as a Department-wide consultant on developing research processes related to data collection, participant consenting, and navigating challenges.
  • This is a high-energy position with tremendous responsibility that requires : programmatic vision; integrity and professionalism;

the ability to see the big picture and attend to smaller details; resourcefulness, responsiveness and flexibility; superb organizational skills and oral and written communication / relationship building skills.

Demonstrated management, implementation and positive supervision experience is required. This position requires independent and team work and minimal in-state travel (when permitted).

This is a term, full-time, benefits eligible position. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer Master’s Degree in a Research Administration or Behavioral Health related field
  • Must have extensive program management and research implementation experience
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, professional writing / manuscript development / website development experience.

Publications and grant writing experience preferred.
