Specialty Coder
CSI Companies has an immediate opening for a Senior Specialty Cardio Coder for a longstanding client of ours. This position will be contracted through CSI Companies with a potential to go permanent with the client.
Summary :
As a Senior Specialty Coder, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and high-quality ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for professional services, including various specialties.
This remote position requires certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through AAPC or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) through AHIMA.
Your responsibilities will include verifying charges, assigning appropriate modifiers, and addressing coding concerns with providers.
You will also handle coding denial work queues.
Location : Remote (Must reside in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Georgia)
Pay Rate :
- Non-certified in Cardio : $27-32 / hr
- Certified in Cardio : $33-36 / hr
Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day during normal business hours
Requirements :
- Completion of an AAPC or AHIMA approved Coding Certificate Program; High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of multi-specialty physician operative and procedural services coding in an acute care hospital and / or outpatient clinic setting, with specific experience in Neurology / Neurosurgery required
- Minimum 1 year of professional billing, claim denials, appeals, and / or revenue cycle work
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical terminology
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers coding / billing guidelines and compliance regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in using multiple software applications
