Property Gauge (https : / / www.thepropertygauge.com / ) is looking for a Stack Developer to help design, build, and maintain a highly scalable and efficient software infrastructure that will power the next generation of real estate property management technology.

We are hiring high-quality engineers with diverse experiences and skill sets for our team. For this position, the preferred work location is our office in Latham, NY.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js
• Collaborate with the design and product teams to translate wireframes and requirements into functional and user-friendly web interfaces.
• Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Build reusable and efficient code libraries for future use.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure application functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with the DevOps Team and other stakeholders to optimize application performance and user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to improve the development process.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or clients, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Document technical specifications, system architecture, and application processes for future reference.
• Show professionalism when dealing with all aspects of internal and external relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Proven work experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end interfaces with back-end services.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
• Familiarity with modern development tools, build processes, and package managers (Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter in addition to a team player.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees required.
• The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional front-end frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
• Experience with knowledge of cloud platforms and services such as AWS.
• Familiarity with serverless architecture and development (AWS Lambda).
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks (Cognito, Firebase, OAuth2, JWT).
• Understanding of software testing principles and experience with testing frameworks (Rainforest, Selenium).

Travel

• The position might require some travel to customers and other events in the United States, Canada, and other countries.
• A valid passport and NYS driver’s license is required.
