We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory management processes and ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Position Summary :
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing, organizing, and optimizing the company’s inventory operations. This includes tracking inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and implementing best practices to improve inventory management processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in inventory control in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inventory Control : Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Order Management : Coordinate with the procurement team to manage reorder points and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Warehouse Management : Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of inventory.
- Supplier Coordination : Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimize order quantities.
- Data Analysis : Use inventory management software and other tools to track, analyze, and report on inventory metrics.
- Process Improvement : Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory turnover, reduce waste, and optimize storage space.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and other applicable laws.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory specialist or a similar role in a distribution or logistics environment required.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software (Odoo) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and create reports to identify trends and improve processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Professional certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
- Experience with lean inventory management or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with automated inventory systems and technologies (e.g., RFID, barcoding).
