Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-Psychiatric-Pediatrics

Seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Pediatric practice in Maine’s second largest city, just 40 minutes from Portland .
This highly respected private group dominates the pediatric market in this region providing care for infants through teens and young adults.
They have a busy outpatient practice with more than a dozen providers in their kid-friendly standalone building. The group has one Physician Assistant and one Physician currently providing mental health care services for their patients on a full time basis, and other providers offering some mental health care as time / scheduling permits.
Responding to a decrease in other resources, they are ready to add another practitioner to meet community needs. In this setting, you will help support patients with childhood behavioral issues , along with adolescents and young adults who need care in areas such as depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns .
This is an important and rewarding outpatient role working with young patients and their families, providing assessments, diagnostics and treatment plans, along with counseling and medication management.
