JOB SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing all student data systems at the school site.
He or she must have meticulous attention to detail and be comfortable maintaining the integrity of data that is accessed frequently across the school.
The ideal candidate is personable and able to build systems and clearly communicate those systems to others. The Operations team is seeking an energetic and dedicated individual who is committed to urban education
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Own and maintain the Student Information System (SIS) on behalf of the school community. Responsibilities include :
- Recording new student enrollment and discharges at the campus
- Managing regular audits of student records for ongoing completeness and accuracy in the SIS, ensuring that every electronic student record is accurate and updated regularly
- Noting trends and updating systems in order to reduce data errors
- Conducting SIS staff training as necessary
- Maintaining data for the NYC Department of Education (ATS), and downloading reports for use in other workstreams
- Spearhead and lead the student enrollment process each school year :
- Providing enrollment application updates
- Managing the student lottery
- Attending student fairs
- Hosting family events and providing on-campus tours to families
- Managing the enrollment process until the student is fully enrolled at NCS
- Own the annual collection of information from families regarding Free / Reduced Lunch Status, contact information, and immunizations, and enter this data in the appropriate systems
- Draft family communication, as necessary
- Work with instructional staff to prepare and distribute all testing materials
- Troubleshoot technology concerns and escalate as necessary to internal IT support and external vendors
- Work as a part of the Ops team to create a warm and welcoming main office environment for families, students, and staff members

- Maintains a congenial demeanor in dealing with internal and external constituents
- Comfortability with technical programs related to schools i.e. PowerSchool, Expensify, SchoolMint, eDoctrina, ATS, etc (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Salary Range : $70,000- $75,000
