Position Summary
Walsh University’s Office of Admissions is seeking a graduate assistant (GA) interested in data analytics with demonstrated experience working with and understanding data and systems.
The GA will work with the undergraduate programs, inclusive of domestic, international, and transfer students. In this position, the GA will support the Office of Admissions by assisting with application processing, equating transfer credits, aiding in maintaining data integrity, building workflows for email campaigns within the office CRM, and maintaining the website.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Application Processing : Assist with international application processing for all international students.
- Transfer Equates : Work with the Transfer Admissions Counselor to get transfer credits equated from other colleges and universities for incoming students.
- Marketing Audit : Conduct holistic review of admissions communication to provide recommendations for updates and enhancements to communications content, website, and distribution flow.
- Data Management : Manage the data collection from online forms, imported records, and rules within the CRM.
- Other duties as assigned. Proofreading, administrative tasks, student recruitment support, and ad hoc tech support.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Must understand and support the Mission, Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree required and admittance into a Graduate Program at the University. This position is available to full-time Walsh University graduate students only.
Skills and abilities :
- Highly motivated and capable of working within tight (but reasonable) deadlines;
- Has sharp analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and factual accuracy, and familiarity with Internet research;
- Strong creativity, organization, and planning skills;
- Ability to work with others, as well as work independently;
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities;
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills;
- Has a strong understanding of providing superior customer service to diverse audiences of prospective students and families; and
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff, and faculty. Positive attitude a must.
