Through science and technology, Leidos is making the world safer, healthier, and more efficient.The Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team at Leidos currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor to work out of our Ladson, SC location.

As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology.

Our new Ladson, SC manufacturing facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers.

These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world. The Manufacturing Supervisor requires someone who has a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business needs.

This is a low to mid volume manufacturing environment with a high product mix. To be successful, it will require flexible and innovative manufacturing techniques coupled with strong communication skills.

This role requires critical thinking and problem solving to ensure smooth production execution of commitments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on tactical leader who will lead by example, set clear expectations, and drive a positive culture of excellence.

Primary Responsibilities : Oversee all related production activities associated with assigned projects and productsLead and manage up to 20 manufacturing employees Manage and allocate resources as need to maintain production schedules Maintain production status information for assigned projects and products Coordinate with Supply Chain and Program Management to develop and maintain production commitmentsMaintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI)Act as hiring manager for resource needs within team / departmentConduct performance reviews with regular check-insEffective time management with ability to identify, prioritize, and escalate riskEnsure all areas comply with EHS and other regulatory requirementsEnsure all documentation and training records are maintained and updated regularlyRequired Qualifications : Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.

May consider equivalent working experience in lieu of a degree.3+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or operations5+ years’ experience leading manufacturing teams or projects3+ years’ experience with ERP toolsAbove average experience utilizing MS applicationsMust have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required)Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial EngineeringPrior experience with the manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies, security, or aviation related productsComprehensive knowledge & understanding of engineering principlesExperience with CostPoint MRP SystemExperience with PowerBI, QuickBooks, or other data analytic systemsCertification or working knowledge of Lean ManufacturingExperience working in an ISO certified environment Competencies : Ability to solve complex problems, often with limited information or guidanceAbility to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiencesGood business acumen with ability to navigate interdepartmental relationships Personal sense of integrity, trust, and respectStrong interpersonal skills used to set and maintain positive cultureThe Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team has developed a suite of integrated solutions for aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world.
