Expanding Midwest firm has a critical role for a talented Electrical Project Engineer with a focus on Roadway projects to fill in their Chicago Office!
Responsibilities :
- Perform engineering design tasks for roadway electrical projects
- Perform calculations
- Develop specifications and cost estimates
- Prepare final bid packages
- Assist in meetings and design activities
- Coordinate with local utility for service
- Assist with field data collection
- Assist with lighting assessment (including field inspections)
- Participate in construction observation / documentation of project sites
- Provide construction support (shop drawing reviews RFI s construction site inspection)
- Meet client expectations for quality schedule and budget
Requirements :
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college and university
- 5 years of experience
- PE License
- Experience performing roadway lighting calculations using Agi32 software
- Knowledge of Bentley Projectwise / Microstation CADD / Design Software
- Knowledge of roadway lighting design industry standards materials and installation
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Experience working with IL Tollway (ISTHA) and Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) lighting projects preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
