Summary Statement : The Assistant Security Manager K9 plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security for all visitors and team members.
This role manages and trains the security K9 team, creating and implementing security protocols, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Ability to assess threats, conduct risk assessments, and develop comprehensive security strategies will be key to success in this role.
Having exceptional leadership skills and excellent communication abilities helps create an environment where the K9 team can be managed effectively, as a result, ensuring that professionalism and efficiency are maintained across all areas of security operations.
This position offers the chance to make a significant impact in protecting our property and its assets. Primary Job Duties : Includes but is not limited to : Assisting the Security Manager in overseeing and managing the K9 team’s operations.
Coordinating and scheduling K9 team developments and assignments. Training and evaluating K9 handlers and their Dogs to ensure they meet performance standards.
Monitoring and maintaining the health, wellbeing, and readiness of the K9 team. Assisting in the development and implementation of security protocols and procedures.
Participate in the Security Professional’s Academy. Collaborating with other departments or teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify areas for improvement in the K9 team’s performance. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the K9 team's performance and activities.
Use personal device / cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc. Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications : Includes but is not limited to : Knowledge of K9 Operations : strong understanding of K9 handling techniques, training methodologies, and deployment strategies.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to K9 operations. Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules, assignments, and records for the K9 team while ensuring compliance with regulations and protocols.
Familiarity with relevant security regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a secure environment.
Minimum Education and Experience : Must be 21 years of age. 3 5 years of relevant experience, including experience in K9 handling and supervision.
Preferred : Previous experience working in large, luxury resort setting. Certificates, Licenses, Regulations : Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
