Overview :

We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated Site Reliability Engineering Manager to join a growing team of professionals.

The Site Reliability Engineering manager is responsible for prototyping and designing systems to ensure our platform's performance, as well as the organization that will be supporting it.

Your role will be to understand the demands being put on the platform and ensure BD is building / running the platform in the right way, to ensure optimal uptime, performance, and client satisfaction.

Additionally, the Site Reliability Engineering Manager will work with the product and platform development teams to design the operations system and engage in operational activities.

Responsibilities :

  • Experienced building software solutions geared towards operations management on the AWS cloud service platform.
  • AWS Hosting, Disaster Recovery, and Remote Operations Services.
  • Serve as an expert on our operational performance and devise innovative strategies for improvement.
  • Define and implement the software systems for cloud operations, including defining automation needs, usage of DevOps / system configuration tools.
  • Build and maintain the Cloud operations related components including systems to ensure Monitoring, Emergency Response, Change Management, Demand Forecasting and Capacity Planning, and Efficiency and Performance.
  • Manage customer facing functions for Cloud Operations. Ensure that the Technical Support team is equipped with the necessary data to provide up-to-the-minute technical support.
  • Ensure the team is engaged in the SDLC process and agile team dynamics to build software solutions that address operational problems for at least 60% of their capacity.
  • Manage the relationship with the Cloud Hosting / 3rd party providers.
  • Design and map key performance indicators to achieve service team’s SLO and SLA.
  • Conduct System Outage and System Impact Analysis and reporting and implement corrections to prevent the recurrence of incidents (COE).
  • Lead cross-functional teams; recruit, hire, mentor, and manage personnel with diverse technical skill sets.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • 8+ years in operating mission critical, distributed systems experience, combining device hardware, SaaS and Software solutions.
  • 5+ years operating distributed software applications in the public cloud, prefer AWS
  • 3+ years experience recruiting and running engineering teams in an SRE, DevOps or Production Engineering capacity.
  • Strong emphasis on SRE as an engineering discipline, with proficiency in at least in one of the following languages (Golang, Python, JavaScript)
  • Strong command of SRE principals, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering concepts.

Solutions mindset as it pertains to automatic resolution of issues arising in these areas.

Able to coordinate with cross-functional teams in both Software Engineering and Product and respond to needs from management as well as assist with decision making and direction setting.
