Job Description
Function : The Clinical Supervisor oversees and coordinates any clinical needs. To act as a liaison between the employee and management team as needed.
Education : LVN / CMA credentials
Employee Relations
- Issues / Concerns relating to clinical staff as needed
- Interviewing / Hiring / Terminating / Counseling of clinical employees with supervision
- Annual reviews, Merit raises, and any disciplinary actions as needed with supervision
- Co-ordinate time-off, call-ins, or any short staffing issues that arise within the clinical staff
- Contact person for sick calls, late arrivals or early departures.
- Review, edit & approve of time cards
- Documentation & maintain of all the above for employee files
- Liaison between management and clinical staff
- Partner with management team for any staffing events throughout the year
- Troubleshoot clinical challenges, complaints or workflow roadblocks to keep staff stress minimized
Employee annual reviews
- 90 reviews for new employees
- Annual reviews for clinical staff
- Merit raises for cross-training, job description updates or general office needs as needed with supervision
- Manage certifications, or re-certifications of clinical staff as needed
- Oversee and direct new hire introductions and training

Employee conduct
- Address behavior issues as outlines in employee handbook with supervision
- Enforce policies and procedures outlines for practice
- Monitor, encourage the NETIMA Mission Vision and Values
- Praise, discipline and coach any team mates needing encouragement
- Looks for opportunities to educate staff to further their knowledge in the clinical setting
- Look for opportunities to streamline workflows

Maintenance & Service for Diagnostic Equipment :
- PFT Machine / Printer
- PT / INR machines *Nebulizers, *O2 Canisters *Glucometers, *Pulse ox.
- Maintain & schedule any service calls, troubleshooting or repair needs as required.
- Schedule biohazard pick-ups
- Oxygen tanks filled and maintained
- Liquid nitrogen service set-up and schedules
Safety Officer - All staff
- Assess safety issues as they arise.
- Complete accident reports as needed
- Log and follow-up on reported injuries
- Report any safety issues or willful intent to injure, to office manger immediately.
- Report any notable diseases to Texas Health Department as required by state
IT (information technology) Assistant
- Assist in computer problems to determine if more 'advanced' technical support is needed.
- Contact & interact with any technical support we call on.
- Create, log and protect all passwords and log-on ID's for current users.
HIPPA Assistant
- Implement and train in HIPPA guidelines
- Possess and track all computer 'log-ons' and passwords
- Door Codes-assign new employee door codes, track current ones and make changes as needed.
Coordinate Job descriptions and daily tasks

- Advise physicians and management team of staffing schedule via group text and staff via Nextgen message
- Train staff members to work different positions, (cross-training) encouraging universal skills, and last minute clinical needs
- Fill in areas to keep up with department needs / concerns / processes
Pharmaceutical Samples
- Implement and review current pharmaceutical policies, allowing samples to be kept in our office for patient administration and education.
- Coordinate education materials, classes or lunch programs for staff and physicians as needed.
- Mediator for sales reps, pharmaceutical reps and professionals that specialize in or solicit the office.
- Request and research new programs, tools or devices for 'preventative medicine' or medical updates.
Narcotics
We do not stock, supply of allow narcotic samples to be left in office
Handle Clinical Accounts / Supplies / Training / Upkeep / Troubleshooting of
- I / Screen-urine drug screens purchased through a 'designated supplier' for use in treating 'addiction patients.
- McKesson Medical Supplies-Clinical supplies used daily
- MerckVaccines-an active account we use to purchase 'special vaccines' that are not yet available elsewhere. (Zostavax & DTP)
- Koven-Doppler supplies used in-office.
- Oxygen tank fill ups / maintain
- Diabetic Educator Seminars as requested
- Vault Screening Tool
Administrative Duties
- Meet with management weekly to monthly to review, address and take care of any staff concerns
- Attend / Present at monthly staff meetings to address updates, concerns or set new goals
- Implement new / updated workflows as they relay to each department or specific needs
Patient Care Representative
- Take any patient complaint calls and address needs as needed
- Address patient non-compliance issues that nay result in termination, warnings or incidents that need to be addressed internally.
- Send warning letters, or letters that may be of a sensitive nature
All other duties requested by physician / management team
Physical requirements : Possess ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. Possess leadership skills, able to multi-task, work under stressful situations and delegate as needed.
Must maintain credentials and current CPR certification
