POSITION :
The LACCD is accepting applications for Adjunct HEAD WOMAN'S SOCCER positions at our colleges for the 2024 -25 Academic School Year.
The LACCD is seeking dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time faculty positions to engage and educate our students.
Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate, and work as professionals with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
Position Description :
Under the direction of the Athletic Director and the Vice President of Student Services, the Head Women's Soccer coach provides leadership, direction, and oversees all coaching for an intercollegiate Women's Soccer Program.
Must adhere to Los Angeles Community College District rules and regulations and support the student-athlete concept.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Culturally responsive interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Recruitment of players while maintaining a competitive team.
- Standard instructional responsibilities for classes in the Athletics Department.
- Monitor the academic progress of student athletes.
- Manage the Women's soccer Program in compliance with CCCAA and LACCD rules.
- Scheduling contests, planning, and supervision of practices.
- Perform public relations functions promoting athletes positively.
- Conduct fundraising activities for the Women's Soccer program.
- Attending department meetings.
- Other Athletic related activities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience.
- OR Associate's degree and six years of professional experience.
- A sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID 19 VACCINATION :
All students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption.
DESIRABLE :
- Degrees in Education, Physical Education, Exercise Sciences or Kinesiology.
- Experience with student success programs in a community college setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
COMPENSATION :
This position is paid by a stipend in the amount of $17,900 for the Fall Semester.
