Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists the Supervisor and Lead Maintenance Engineer in the continuous efficient and safe operation of the hospital complex held responsible by Facilities Management.

Maintain and repair equipment and buildings assets. Must be able to prioritize tasks work independently, as well with peers as assigned.

Must have knowledge and skills in electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Know how to read blue prints. Or as assigned.

What qualifications you will need :

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Technical or trade school experience preferred.

Related certifications and / or licenses required.

Minimum 3 years experience required.

Knowledge in Emergency Procedure and Safety Codes.

Obtains competency in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Generator System, and Tube System repair.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English required.

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and offer a wide range of medical specialties.

These specialties include emergency care, heart, and vascular care. We are designated by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center.

Other specialties include maternity and neonatal care. We are a Level II NICU hospital. HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is CARF accredited for inpatient rehabilitation.

Our facility offers a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
