The opportunityEY's Solution Excellence practice is a team dedicated to assisting pursuit teams with the development of large scale, multi-competency solutions for consulting clients.

As an engagement drafter, you will have a direct impact on driving successful pursuits and ultimately successful delivery of sold projects across the firm.

Your key responsibilitiesYou will support the solutioning effort within a pursuit of a complex, multi-competency opportunity.

You’ll work alongside and in support of a pursuit team, working directly with the Solution Lead and Solution Integrator throughout the pursuit lifecycle to define a competitive and deliverable solution.

You’ll report directly to the Solution Integrator and function as their right-hand support.Skills and attributes for successAn ability to manage and delegate to the team helping on the pursuitBeing hands on in creating content within the deck to articulate solution detailsEnsuring that information from the Solution Integrator, subject matter resources (SMRs) and Solution Architects is being incorporated into the solution planStrong attention to detail and proactive follow through, as you’ll be responsible for helping to coordinate with SMRs, scheduling meetings and following up on questions and estimatesTo qualify for the role you must haveBachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related work experience3+ years of experience as a technology consultantWorking knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle key phases and activitiesWorking knowledge of various delivery methodologies such as waterfall, agile and SAFePrevious hands-on experience estimating consulting workMust be able to manage up, working with more senior pursuit team audiences to complete critical tasks on fast timelinesProactive attitude required to identify and close gaps to complete the solution plan to meet key milestonesDetail oriented to ensure changing information is passed on to dependent parties and accurately reflected in the solution plan as appropriateAble to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, industries, and fields of playWorking knowledge of common program structures, organization, and rolesBe able to identify and capture dependencies, risks, and assumptionsAbility to travel to meet client needsIdeally, you’ll also haveExposure to multi-competency programsExperience working with people consulting or business consulting teamsWhat we look forTop performers in this role are drivers, able to track work across multiple work streams, escalate risks and issues to the solution lead, appropriately raise questions / concerns to clarify understanding when needed, able to build relationships and credibility quickly with senior pursuit and account leaders.

What we offerWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $90,600 to $166,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $108,700 to $188,700.

Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
