Commodity Manager in Atlanta
My client, a chemical manufacturing company in the north suburbs of Atlanta, GA is seeking a Commodity Manager to oversee 3-4 chemical categories for North America.
Responsibilities :
- Manage the raw materials spend (petrochemical, saturated paper, non-wovens) spend for the Americas
- Work cross-functionally with other business units
- Lead vendor selection, maintain vendor relationships
- Create and implement sourcing strategies
- Lead negotiations and help create and manage contracts
- Conduct market research and ensure competitive pricing with supply partners
The ideal candidate :
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of experience sourcing raw materials (prefer chemicals)
- Proven negotiation skills
- Experience with ERP systems prefer JD Edwards
- Strong communication skills
