The Position :
ADEC is looking for a Recruitment Specialist to join the Human Resources team. The Recruitment Specialist is instrumental in helping ADEC find and retain the quality dedicated employees needed to fulfill our mission.

Job Responsibilities :
- Manage the hiring process for ADEC employees, to include screening applications for qualifications, responding to applications in timely manner, interviewing applicants, arranging second interviews with managers, making hiring offers and starting the on-boarding process for new hires.
- Review and ensure all required background, educational, and licensure checks are done per applicant. Ensure that anyone offered a position meets all agency, state and federal requirements.
- Assist with pre-hiring requirements as needed, to include employment verifications, references, and required background checks.
- Seve as the lead HR staff responsible for the ATS system, including understanding the system to ensure HR is utilizing it to its full potential.
- Develop and maintain rapport with ADEC managers to better understand hiring needs. Keep managers updated on current recruiting efforts and status of their open positions.
- Maintain HR’s internal tracking of open positions.
- Assist with ADEC’s recruiting efforts including helping develop new recruiting efforts. Attend job fairs and represent ADEC at recruiting functions.
Assist with tracking and monitoring hiring and recruiting data to help ADEC’s recruiting efforts are effective.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to applicants, managers and customers in a timely manner representing ADEC’s focus on respect and dignity.
- Assist with stay interviews with employees to track trends, address concerns, and improve retention.
- Assist Human Resources Department to meet Human Resources CARF standards.
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation and following federal, state, accreditation, and ADEC regulations, requirements and policies.
- Be a strong HR team member, assisting with a wide range of HR responsibilities, such as professional development, retention, recognition and engagement, training and wage and benefit offerings that support ADEC’s strategic goal of Great Workforce Great Workplace.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- At least two years of related human resources experience, especially in the area of recruiting, hiring and onboarding employees.
Previous knowledge and experience with federal and state regulations regarding employment law preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, time management and organizational skills required.
- Strong computer skills, including awareness of social media trends for recruitment and hiring. Strong experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Strong initiative and drive to recruit, hire and retain the talent needed to meet ADEC’s mission, vision and values. Must have ability to share this mission with applicants to attract and retain the quality of employee needed to fulfill ADEC’s mission to the individuals served.
- Must have strong integrity, professionalism, and discretion. Must be able to work well as a team to help maintain Human Resources goal of continuous improvement, strong customer service, and example of desired leadership skills.
- Successful completion of all required training both upon hire and annually required per ADEC, CARF and other regulatory agencies.
This includes agency training and client specific training
