Reporting to the Head of Finance & Operations, Staff / Project Accountant will provide entry-level, project-based, administrative, and financial support services for illuminico.
Since illuminico is a young and rapidly growing company, the position will provide an opportunity to work closely with various other departments and team members, along with room for upward mobility and professional growth.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Procurement
- Assist with generating, issuing, and tracking purchase orders on a project-level basis
- Gain an understanding of the various reps and agencies relied on during the procurement process
Accounts Receivable
- Help maintain invoicing tracking log
- Assist with tracking project progress to ensure accurate billing
- Maintain and issue accurate AIA billing requisitions on a monthly basis
Accounts Payable
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and W-9 verification for new vendors
- Assist with reconciling vendor invoices against illuminico purchase orders to ensure accurate project accounting
Administrative
- Assist in maintaining all project-specific folders on the company-wide shared drive
- Assist with maintaining and updating project-level summary files
- Other duties as required (e.g. data entry, maintaining various spreadsheets, etc)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. An Associates degree may be considered with the right experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Experience with AIA billing applications a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with management, vendors
- Able to work as a team player
- Open to development of skills and knowledge
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
- Excellent customer service
