The Third-Party Billing Specialist is responsible for generating Medicare and Medicare Advantage Part A claims in collaboration with the Friendship Village’s Skilled Nursing facilities to assure Skilled Nursing billing is done timely and accurately.
Experience in a Skilled Nursing facility is required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Compiles and inputs data for skilled & Medicaid residents at all FV campuses.
- Inputs data for HMO, Medicaid, Secondary Insurance, Medicare Part A & B claims for both campuses.
- Generates Medicare and Medicare Advantage Part B therapy claims
- Bills Medicaid claims using Missouri HealthNet Portal
- Uses Medicare DDE and Clearinghouse for billing Medicare Part A and B claims.
- Reviews and corrects UB04’s before and after triple check meetings.
- Monitors Aging reports and follows up on overdue accounts.
- Responsible for monitoring Third Party cash postings.
- Processes necessary reports to support billed claims. Maintains backup and support documents.
- Maintains computer files and data in an organized fashion.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years relevant Third-Party claims billing experience.
- Accounting experience preferred.
- Great attention to detail
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the highest level of customer / client service and response.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in working around confidential or sensitive materials or conversations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment that promotes inclusiveness and communication among team members.
- Skilled Nursing facility is preferred
