Certifications :

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Must-Have : Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test

Description :

The unit serves a diverse population of patients including those with cardiac and neuro conditions.

The nurse will be responsible for bedside monitoring and administering cardiac drips.

Care for patients post-heart catheterization is required.

The patient population may include young adults to late adults.

The nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 6.

Staffing includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns.

Each Registered Nurse assumes full responsibility for their assigned patients.

Travelers may be asked to float to different units or facilities based on staffing needs.

Notification will be provided before a scheduled shift if a float assignment is necessary.
