VP - Credit Risk QA

Established banking client is seeking an experienced professional to join its team as a Credit Action and Portfolio Review Specialist.

Responsibilities :

Review and analyze complex credit actions, focusing on assessment areas such as rapid rating deterioration, regulatory rating assessments, and internal rating conclusions.

Evaluate data to identify trends through ongoing, risk-based monitoring.

Conduct portions of individual credit assessments for team review and finalization.

Document monitoring results and provide periodic risk assessments of assigned credit actions or portfolio reviews.

Ensure timely completion of all work products in required formats.

Develop and review samples for assessment with team members.

Act as an advisor to Front, Second, and Third Line colleagues based on assessment findings and QA Team recommendations.

Assessment Areas Include :

TTM rapid rating deterioration (Pass to non-Pass)

Internal rating (BR / ASR, etc.) assessment / conclusions

Internal vs. Regulatory Ratings

Regulatory Leverage Assessment

SLoD Effective Challenge (evidence / quality)

Appropriate Exercise of Delegated Approval Authority

Standards, Procedures, and Exceptions

Application Content Completeness

Ad Hoc assessments as recommended by QA team, senior management, or CRC

Expected Qualifications :

A BA or BS degree preferred, with 5+ years of progressive credit / lending / examination experience. An MBA is highly desirable.

Strong presentation skills.

Experience in credit risk, risk rating (internal and regulatory), credit standards and procedures application, and credit / financial statement analysis.

Base salary - $160,000-$190,000 depending on experience
