THIS POSTING IS FOR 2ND SHIFT WITH WEEKENDS (MONDAY - FRIDAY 3PM - 11PM AND POSSIBLE WEEKENDS).

Position Details
The Outreach Specialist in the PAD program will work collaboratively with the Philadelphia Police Department and various other City agencies.
The position will also include but is not limited to :
- Dispatch for various quality-of-life emergency calls ( possible overdose, welfare checks, disorderly conduct, etc.) or other non-violent low-level mental health or behavioral health calls.
- Perform basic referral functions (complete shelter referral, call to obtain an outpatient appointment).
- Collect relevant information.
- Transport individuals following the completion of a diversion.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
- Ability to work in a team setting. 90% of the work is done in the field with a partner.
- Proficient computer skills to perform job duties including but not limited to desktop computing, email, time sheet management, electronic health records, using Microsoft Office and Google Applications, and other relevant software.
- Ability to enter data on a mobile handheld device while in the field.
- Must possess a valid and active driver's license.
- Must have knowledge and an understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
- Ability to establish professional relationships with city personnel including, but not limited to Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) partners.
- Bilingual candidates preferred .
