Sr. Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator to join our C3M team! The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of construction principals including General Requirements, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical.

We seek a self-starter that is detail oriented, displays good interpersonal skills and has a passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the Company
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimate for projects
• Perform portions of estimates for multi-discipline projects including scope determinations and accurate quantity survey
• Solicit Subcontractor and / or Vendor quotes and evaluate them for scope and evaluate them for accuracy
• Lead meetings with Subcontractors to develop complete scopes and discuss strategy
• Perform risk and contract management responsibilities as required on bids
• Assist in developing a strategy to achieve minority participation requirements
• Review total estimate to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation
• Monitor comparison of estimated costs to actual costs
• Research and promote continuous improvement in developing more efficient estimating methods
• Examine construction sites and observe unusual or challenging conditions

Qualifications :

• Passionate about profession, dedicated to winning work and willing to take pride and ownership of work product
• 9+ yrs of electrical estimating experience is required
• Rail / mass transit systems (Traction Power, Overhead Catenary, Train Control, Communications) estimating experience preferred
• Highway / ITS / traffic signal, water / wastewater, aviation, maintenance facility, power, industrial and other highly technical project experience a plus
• Demonstrate the ability to lead individual projects or pursuits and be a part of a team for large projects and pursuits
• Knowledge of Electrical Bid Estimating Software. Accubid experience a plus
• Demonstrate the ability to either lead or be a part of a team for multiple projects and pursuits
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Must be detail oriented, technically sound and have good communication skills
• Familiar with both conceptual and self-perform estimating
