Shipping Coordinator

Madison Avenue Couture is the leading online independent dealer of pristine Hermes handbags and accessories in the USA. We also carry a small collection of Chanel and other ultra-luxury pristine items.

The Shipping Coordinator will support all aspects of Madison Avenue Couture’s shipping needs. This is a small organization and the ability to collaborate with others is essential to the success of the position.

In addition to learning best practices in logistics, the Shipping Coordinator will learn firsthand about the luxury resale industry and become an expert in the most coveted handbag brands in the world Hermes, Chanel, and Goyard.

This position reports to the Office Manager.

• Ensure all products are shipped in a timely manner.
• Inspect all items prior to shipment to ensure they are in the condition as described.
• Check accompaniments to ensure they are as stated in the item's description.
• Videotape all packages prior to packing and shipping.
• Repackage items in the proper manager.
• Prepare domestic and international shipping labels.
• Package each item being shipped in accordance with the high standards set by Madison Avenue Couture (the Company ).
• Alert the Office Manager and / or Inventory Control Manager if accompaniments are missing or if the condition of the box and tissue paper are not consistent with the item’s condition.
• Track incoming and outgoing packages to ensure they are shipped and are scheduled for delivery.
• Reach out to FedEx or DHL if issues on shipments exist and work with the Office Manager and Inventory Control Manager to resolve them.
• Gain knowledge of the Company merchandise and assist in the handling of the merchandise.
• Assist in customer service and sales.
• Assist in the authentication process which includes taking photographs of bags / jewelry and accessories.
• Maintain and handle inventory as required by other departments.
• Assist in special projects, as required.
• Be responsible for dismantling and discarding shipping boxes.
• Lock up and secure inventory rooms at the end of each day
• Participate in group meetings and provide suggestions that would advance the business operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in Shipping Tools ie Fedex, DHL is a plus.
• Shopify experience also desired.
