What you’ll do

Partner with cross-functional peers across our technology teams and our marketing & sales teams to establish the vision and practices of a high-performing growth team.

A)With the product team, create a portfolio of customer-focused product bets across a range of timelines. Align founders, senior executives, and leaders of all product pillars behind an ambitious growth vision and on how we will make trade-offs across different objectives.

Establish processes to gather the right data, run experiments fast, and build repeatable playbooks for rapid compounding and consistent growth.

Create systems to consistently increase velocity, so the team runs like an autonomous machine that’s constantly improving itself.

Guide the development of strategy and execution of product roadmaps to increase overall GMV from new retailers. Create and iterate on new acquisition channels, from SEO / SEM to improvements in our logged-out strategy.

Make it easy for retailers to get started on Faire through improved signup flows, better personalization based on real-time data, and simplified paths to purchase.

Develop and expand programs to open up new customer segments or use cases. 1Work with engineering to prioritize investments in long-term communications platforms and integrations so teams can iterate faster in the future.

Work with marketing to build strong practices around what retailer outreach across Faire should look like. Outline best practices for the entire Faire team across EPDD and Ops to help everyone understand how they can best contribute to customer growth.

  • Hire, develop, and retain a world-class team and be a great people manager of 5 PMs. Reviewed as an inspiring leader by your direct reports, who is happy, fulfilled, and growing.
  • Promote the health of the product organization by coaching / mentoring, participating in recruiting, and contributing to other product org programs.

Qualifications

Industry expert in product growth - Has a track record of building and leading product growth teams in B2B (preferred) or B2C domains.

Understands standard growth practices, and has adapted to team, org, and market changes.

  • Leadership - Leads through constant change and ambiguity, keeping teams highly motivated through ups and downs. Strikes the right balance between shielding the team and creating accountability for success.
  • Data-driven and analytical - Can break down a problem into its component parts and use data and logic to accurately diagnose root causes.

Uses data effectively to inform strategic decisions.

Sought after manager, mentor, and coach - Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining world-class product managers and managers of product managers.

Past direct reports are passionate about working with them.

  • Growth mindset - willing to accept feedback and seek ways to get better every day.
  • Relentlessly resourceful - Won’t quit and is hungry to do whatever it takes to make an impact on the community. Is willing to get their hands dirty and dive into the details to help their teams overcome obstacles.
  • Strategic thinking, and business acumen - makes the right calls to prioritize work that creates customer value and drives business impact.

Strong intuition for when to pursue incremental improvements vs taking larger swings.

  • Great collaborator - Builds strong relationships across functions, both technical and non-technical. Has a proven track record of aligning disparate parts of an organization.
  • Excellent communicator - Distills complex technical decisions into simple, concise language to drive decision-making.
  • Kind - demonstrates compassion and generosity towards everyone.

Salary Range

San Francisco* : the pay range for this role is $242,000 to $333,000 per year.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location.

The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Depending on the role and needs of the team, Faire employees have the flexibility to choose how they work whether that’s mainly in the office, remotely, or a mix of both.

Roles that list only a country in the location are eligible for fully remote work in that country or in- office work at a Faire office in that country, provided employees are located in the registered country / province / state.

Roles with only a city location are eligible for in-office or hybrid office work in that city. Our talent team will work with candidates to determine what locations and roles are eligible for each option.
