Medical Lab Scientist II

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Medical Lab Scientist II 3rd Shift .

Position : Type : Full Time, Contract

Duration : 06+ Months

Location : Round Rock, TX 78665

As a Medical Lab Scientist II 3rd Shift , your responsibilities : :

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Comments :

Vaccine required : Hep B, TB, MMR, T-Dap, Flu, Varicella, and Covid.

Education : Bachelor’s in science, HM is open to MLT with the correct experience and back.

ASCP or AMT certification is required for this position.

Shift Hours : 4 x 10 3rd shift 9pm -7 : 30 AM

Training on first shift : 7AM-3 : 30 PM Two weeks on average for training if the candidate has blood bank experience, but if no blood bank experience its 6 weeks of BB training.

BLOOD BANK EXPERIENCE is strongly preferred but not required.

Generalist experience required Coag, Hem, UA, etc.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :

Pay Range* : Between $38.00 to $40.00 Per Hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
