Overview of the Senior Network Engineer opportunity :

  • Providing assistance in the installation and maintenance of various Cisco products and extending support to enterprise users both remote and in office
  • Supports the day-to day operation of data networks consisting of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure
  • Configuration and deployment of Cisco 2900, 9300 switches, Cisco Nexus 5000, 7000, 9000 switches and Cisco 2900, 4000, 8000 series routers
  • Worked extensively in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting Cisco's ASA 5500 firewalls
  • Understanding of Quality-of-Service (QoS)
  • Configuration of VLANs / HSRP / STP / LACP / DTP of switches as per the network design
  • Hands-on experience with following routing protocols / technologies : VRF / VRF-Lite, BGP (eBGP, iBGP), EIGRP
  • Experience in circuit design, carrier collaboration, and establishment of dynamic routing with upstream carriers
  • Involved in the troubleshooting aspects of complex network infrastructure using the routing protocols like EIGRP & BGP.
  • Performs software upgrades and patching on any supported devices

Senior Network Engineer skills and qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related technology field or equivalent experience is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in networking is required
  • Hardware / Software Experience : Cisco Firewalls; Cisco Routers and Switches; Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco Wireless; Cisco Meraki;

Cisco Identity Service Engine; Fluke Networks; Ansible; VMware

Network Experience : TCP / IP; EIGRP; OSPF; BGP; Cisco VPNs (IPsec,GRE,DMVPN) ; VRFs; QoS; SPAN / RSPAN; NBAR; RSTP; vPC;

Security Architecture knowledge; VOIP

PLUS

  • Linux System Administration a plus
  • A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP); Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Expert (MCSE) Certification is a plus
