PositionSummary :
South Florida Bible Collegeinvites applications for an EAP Teacher qualified to teach ESLcourses. This position is part time working oncampus no more than16 hours per week and must be a resident in the state ofFlorida.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities :
An EAP Teacher isresponsible for teaching ESL classes with adult internationalstudents from varied countries. Classes varies between level 1 andlevel 6 to be determined by the Oxford Placement Test that everystudent is submitted at admissions.
Teachers are expected to teachhighquality classes implementing the Oxford Wide Angle curriculumand following the lesson plan previously defined with thePedagogical Coordinator.
Among the activities and responsibilitiesthe EAP teacher is required to complete the necessaryadministrative work necessary for classes in a timely manner andsupport your colleagues by participating in collaborative trainingsessions.
PreferredQualifications :
Earned MA in TESOLEnglish Literature or Composition and Rhetoric or a relatedfield.
EssentialQualifications :
- Certificate in ESL / TESOL or
- Bachelor degree in Education(equivalent) or in academicprogress.

- Use relevanttechnology to support and differentiate instruction;
- Manage student behavior in the classroom byestablishing and enforcing rules and procedures;
- Maintain discipline in accordance with therules and disciplinary systems of the school;
- Provide appropriate feedback onwork;
- Encourage and monitor the progress ofindividual students and use information to adjust teachingstrategies;
- Maintain accurate and completerecords of students progress and development;
- Update all necessary records accurately andcompletely as required by laws district policies and schoolregulations;
- Prepare required reports onstudents and activities;
- Participate indepartment school district and parent meetings;
- Communicate necessary information regularly tostudents colleagues and parents regarding student progress andstudent needs;
- Establish and communicate clearobjectives for all learning activities;
- Prepare classroom for classactivities;
- Provide a variety of learningmaterials and resources for use in educationalactivities;
- Observe and evaluate studentsperformance and development;Assign and grade class work homeworktests and assignments.
