SUMMARY :
The Bottling Mechanic is responsible for the daily setup, adjustment, and maintenance of bottle packaging machinery. Key tasks include executing quality changeovers, performing repairs and preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting PLCs and circuit boards.
The mechanic will assist in the installation and qualification of new machines and ensure accurate line setup documentation.
Knowledge of cGMP and safety guidelines is required.
Work Schedule : Monday-Friday 3 : 00pm-11 : 30pm
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5+ years’ experience in the field
- Mechanical Engineering degree a plus
- Knowledge of cGMP and Safety guidelines
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform daily set-ups, adjustments, and maintenance of the Bottle Packaging Machinery
- Perform quality changeovers, set-ups, adjustments, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all bottle packaging machinery
- Perform installation and set-up of new visions systems as required
- Trouble Shoot PLC and machine circuit boards
- Assist in IQ / OQ / PQ for new machines / tooling
- Complete, review, and initiate accurate line set-up sheets
- Help to maintain proper machine functionality to decrease waste and increase uptime
- PM’s- Preventative Maintenance Tasks as needed
- RM’s- perform reactive maintenance when needed
- Continuous review of machine safety feature functionality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Continuous walking, standing, climbing and frequent periods requiring sustained. Uncomfortable physical positions : regular and sustained periods of strenuous physical exertion, requiring the ability to lift, carry and position heavy objects utilizing proper body mechanics and techniques;
operation of tools and equipment which cause loud noise and vibrations.
This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working / extending overhead, including :
- Lifting a minimum of 80 lbs.
- Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.
- Climbing a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.

Salary Range : $25.00-$30.00 hour
