Responsibilities :
- This role encompasses a board range of accounting functions, from monthly close activities to recording journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including those involving intercompany partners
- Record journal entries related to accrued liabilities, transfer price adjustments, finished goods, inventory reserves, standard cost revaluation, and intercompany accruals
- Manage intercompany journal entries, including cross charges and ICMU
- Handle journal entries for corporate functions, with a focus on cash, accrued liabilities, insurance reserves, prepaids, FX and A / P
- Prepare and review balance sheet account roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations
- Develop and present variance commentary of the monthly actuals review
- Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements
- Distribute monthly inventory and intercompany reports to key members
- Support various departmental, functional and corporate initiatives
- Assist with the application of GAAP to new transactions
- Build and maintain cooperative, respectful working relationships with relevant internal and external parties
- Take on additional responsibilities as departmental workloads evolve
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
- 3 or more years of experience in a similar role preferably with a $500M+ business
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties
- Ability to perform well under pressure, with changing priorities and tight deadlines
- High level of maturity, self-motivation, and team-orientation
