Summary : ResourceOne is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent (Buyer). This individual will drive the purchasing and procurement process, using input from our internal and external customers.

This individual will utilize the Printing industries best practices keeping the highest level of integrity and transparency as part of its mission.

• Preferred at least 2 years of RFQ purchasing experience
• Experience with purchasing programs such as Hagan ( Monarch ) or SAP preferred
• Basic knowledge of legal aspects of contracts
• Basic knowledge of commercial printing process, paper, inventory control, logistics and freight preferred
• Effective time management & organizational skills

Required Job Duties :

• Purchase the highest quality finished products, raw materials and services at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts and within the time frame needed.
• Strong mechanical and analytical skills with ability to problem solve complex technical issues to correctly source commodities, as directed.
• Use the purchase requisition information to obtain best pricing and delivery commitments per company guidelines.
• Review and audit purchase order requisitions, create purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, prepare data and documentation to present the supplier award recommendation.
• Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
• Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchases, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
• Assist in all functions related to Purchasing / Material Control as directed.
• Must have advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, including interlinked databases, Word ) and solid understanding of ERP / MRP systems.
• An engaged team player with ability to work independently to advance goals and objectives for self, team and company.
• Other duties as assigned

Education :

Bachelor's degree preferred

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
