Responsibilities
The Gift Processing Associate serves as part of the Development department creating and maintaining The Ringling Foundation's and FSU Foundation's CRM databases.
Typical responsibilities include :
Daily data entry of transactions for the Ringling Foundation's customer database. Creates, updates and verifies donor records, demographics, gifts, pledges, and other commitments in the database.
Works in collaboration with team members, supporting FSU foundation's (FSUF) mission implementing best practices related to maintaining database integrity and performance, according to FADIC (Foundation Advancement Data Integrity Committee).
Assist with daily integration of constituent data and revenue between The Ringling's customer database and FSU Foundation CRM database.
Ensure accuracy of donor and revenue records through integration processes.
Confirms all Gift Documentation has been accurately scanned into the FSU Foundation's CRM database for all Ringling Foundation contributions.
Ensures hard copies of gift documentation are maintained according to departmental requirements.
As needed :
Assists Membership & Development Data Manager in the onboarding and ongoing training of Department's OPS Staff Members to ensure they are following gift processing best practices.
Serve in a supervisory role of these staff members in absence of Department Manager.
Provide assistance to other team members in the Development department. Reviews, corrects, proofreads and analyzes data for accuracy, logic and relevance.
Maintains departmental gift files.
Works with other Members of the Ringling staff on customer database improvements, including assisting with testing for service packs, version upgrades, etc.
Serve as a subject matter expert in terms of gift processing. Performs other duties and projects as assigned that support Membership & Development and museum operations, including but not limited to, serving as back-up for cash office operations.
Skills important to this role include :
- Knowledge of or ability to learn applicable computer software and operating systems, specifically CRM or related donor database.
- Ability to :
- Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Maintain accurate records, retrieve files from active or archive sources, as well as compile, review, reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Basic filing practices to include numeric and alphabetic systems.
- Knowledge of electronic data processing as it applies to fiscal and accounting activities.
Qualifications
Education
HS diploma or GED and four years' experience
Note : higher education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

- Experience working in an office setting.
- Proficiency working in databases (Tessitura and / or Blackbaud CRM experience).
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technologies.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Exceptional judgment and the ability to ensure sensitive information remains private.
- Advanced internet skills, especially search engines.

Considerations
Rate of Pay : Anticipated range will be $17.91 to $19.15 + per hour and will be based on the education, skills, and experience of the selected candidate.

Working Hours : 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM Monday - Friday with a one-hour meal period.
- This position is based in Sarasota, FL and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule .
- This is a USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
- This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting .
