Mechanical Test Technician

In this position you will perform tests and report testing evaluations. Work is to be performed in accordance with established QA procedures.

Shift : 1st and 2nd
Salary : $20-$25 / hr
Core Responsibilities :
- Prepare and operate all equipment necessary to perform testing in the Mechanical Lab
- Performs daily verifications and adjusts equipment baselines accordingly
- Performs RTT / ETT tests, Charpy impacts, Fracture Toughness, Hardness, Stress / Creep Rupture, Full size Fastener testing, Pressure testing
- Schedules / Performs internal calibration / maintenance of equipment
- Insures that ample supplies are available for operation of mechanical testing area
- Interacts periodically with customers

- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- HS diploma / GED or Tech school certificate preferred
- Experience in a testing related field preferred
- Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
- Basic understanding of testing concepts
