Commercial Construction Manager
Our client, a large data center REIT, is having to repair and replace some trusses in one of its class a buildings. We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Construction Manager to supervise, plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including working with engineers, subcontractors, property management, architects and vendors.
The Commercial Construction Managers responsibilities include ensuring the projects are completed on time and within budget, planning and designing construction plans, and overseeing the building process.
Our ideal candidate has a solid background in the field, excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software, project management skills and a strong understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Work with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
- Ensure the quality of work and materials is upheld
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Ensure the work environment is safe and that all safety regulations are being followed
- Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Commercial Construction Manager
- Advanced knowledge of construction project management processes, means and methods
- Truss repair / replacement experience in a class a commercial building
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Excellent time and project management skills
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
