The Opportunity :
UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) School of Teacher Education is currently accepting applications for an Academic Program Coordinator II.
This role assists full-time and part-time faculty and other stakeholders to enhance the learning and teaching environment.
The role involves close collaboration with STE faculty and the Registrar's Office to maintain accurate records in PeopleSoft for academic scheduling.
They identify and resolve scheduling system issues, interpret academic policies, and recommend improvements for academic support services.
Special projects and studies related to academic support services that are designed and conducted by the coordinator. They also contribute to STE marketing efforts, participate in hiring processes, and analyze relevant data.
Additionally, managing STE student workers may be part of their responsibilities. The person selected for this role will be expected to work collaboratively with both small and large teams in problem solving.

Scheduling :
Create and manage the annual course schedule and related duties for all School of Teacher Education (STE) programs, including Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Exceptional Education and Early Childhood Education.
Create an annual academic course schedule collaborating with program faculty.
Respond to Registrar's office course scheduling requests.
Track course enrollments and make recommendations of course cancellations to Program Manager II.
Track, collect, maintain and update records of program course sequences.
Compile data on course offerings, enrollments, and program cohorts.
Request rooms for special meetings and events.
Grant and track student permissions during the enrollment appointment periods with the support of the graduate advisor.
Work with the Office of Immersive Experiences and the Internship Experiences Coordinator to track, monitor and coordinate student permissions for internship in all STE program areas.
Monitor and update course prerequisites changes in Peoplesoft.
Program Development :
Support the STE / Program Manager II and program faculty with growing programs, increasing admission into the programs, and creating new program pathways.
Support faculty in the submission of course and program curriculum proposals in Kuali.
Assist Program Manager II, Graduate Advisor II, and faculty with student recruitment and recruitment related events, orientations, and meetings for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Academic Administrative :
Prepare, complete, and distribute STE faculty forms, including, In-Unit Faculty Assignments (AA-46) and Faculty Activity System Reports (FAS).
Liaison to the Undergraduate Affairs and faculty to route course substitution requests, late add / drops, and permission to take additional hours requests for approval and processing.
Assist STE director with preparing the annual report and other reports.
Staffing & Training :
In consultation with the Program Manager II, initiate Center for Distributed Learning (CDL) trainings.
Track Human Resources Trainings (HR) trainings.
Collect and archive teaching / clinical qualifying documentation and assist with full-time / part-time faculty and GTA assignments and hires.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree, and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree.
Three or more years of experience working in higher education.
Experience working with complex course and program scheduling.
Experience with program marketing and recruitment.
Evidence of strong communication - written and verbal.
Experience using the platforms Peoplesoft, Kuali, and Astra scheduling tool.
