Job Summary : The Grant and Contract Specialist II reviews and processes complex sponsored project proposals. Reviews, revises, and develops sponsored project proposed budgets to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local government administrative requirements related to pre-award and / or post-award sponsored project activities.
Additional Department Summary : Assists faculty and staff in analyzing sources of sponsored support, in preparation and processing of applications and proposals for sponsored funding, and in pre-award and non-financial post-award administration of contracts and grants.
Required Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of grant and / or contract administration experience; OR master's degree.
Skills and Knowledge : Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel. Customer service-oriented with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications : Between three and five years of experience in the preparation and processing of grant and / or contract proposals and sponsored agreement administration.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, budget development and proficiency with database applications. CRA.
