The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of paralegal (family law) experience, strong organizational and time-management abilities and exceptional client service skills.
About the Role :
The Paralegal will play an integral role in providing value to our clients. At a high level, the Paralegal will work closely with the attorneys to draft and file pleadings, prepare and organize client files, correspond with clients and provide billing and administrative support.
The ability to multitask, stay organized, communicate effectively and work efficiently is crucial for success at our firm.
This is remote role based in Aurora, Colorado, but will eventually become hybrid when our new office is opened.
Responsibilities :
- Document Preparation : Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other documents as needed.
- Document Filing : Compile, package and arrange for pleading filing either electronically or manually.
- Administrative Support : Provide general administrative support for attorneys, including but not limited to : scheduling appointments, answering phones, data entry, correspondence, and calendar management.
Utilize legal research databases and case management software.
Client Service : Provide superior customer service as a first point of contact for clients. Assist clients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
Maintain confidentiality and establish a professional yet personable rapport.
Team Collaboration : Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals and non-legal staff to ensure smooth workflow. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Follow firm-wide policies and procedures in the completion of case related and administrative tasks.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience (family law required)
- Proficiency in Colorado filing processes (both electronic and manual).
- Proficiency in legal document drafting.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity for empathy, understanding, and compassion in interactions with clients and team members.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- This is a remote position to start, but will be hybrid later. Candidate must be able to reliably commute to Aurora,.
