Job Description
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist
Job Specialty : Cardiopulmonary - Respiratory Therapy
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM, every other weekend rotation
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent staff experience in a large Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) department or facility
License : Valid Provisional / Respiratory Care Practitioner License or a temporary letter to practice issued by the Medical Board
Certifications : Certified / Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT / RRT) credential through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), PALS (AHA), and BLS (AHA)
Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
Job Description :
- Provide respiratory care for pediatric patients in a facility with a 20-bed PICU and 65-bed NICU.
- Potential to float between adult and pediatric populations and potentially other units as needed, with the primary focus on PICU / Pediatrics.
- Patient care may include treating COVID-19 patients.
- EPIC experience is highly preferred.
- No on-call requirement.
- For safety-sensitive positions, must comply with regulations concerning marijuana use.
- Ensure adherence to facility protocols and patient care standards.
- The candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility in order to be considered.
