JOB OVERVIEW

The Superintendent / QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of the project construction site.

You will manage personnel and daily site activities to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with our safety-first philosophy, design specifications, budget, and schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate all day-to-day operations of the construction site, working with Yukon employees, subcontractors, consultants, and clients involved in construction, inspections, and testing.
  • Develop and manage job schedules (i.e., look-ahead schedules); coordinate scheduling with in-house workers, subcontractors, project owners, inspectors, and vendors / suppliers.
  • Monitor subcontractor work to ensure completion per subcontractor agreements.
  • Implement site quality control plans, track, report, and correct deficiencies.
  • Perform daily inspections of work performed and log work completed, ensuring all work complies with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure all projects received and installed meet project requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel on the project site and assist the Safety Manager as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or the sciences preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of proven experience as a construction Superintendent.
  • Currently possess or have the ability to obtain the following certifications before employment : OSHA 10 and 30, HAZWOPER, CPR & First Aid.
  • Current GSA Access Card or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Current Driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred.
  • SCA / DBA / Union / Government contracting experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
