Process Controls Engineer

Job Description : Southern Integrated Solutions and Consulting (SISC) is searching for a Process Controls Engineer. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in engineering disciplines and a deep understanding of control systems and automation technologies.

They will have proficiency in programming and experience with process instrumentation and control strategies. Our ideal candidate has effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities : Performs process controls engineering tasks with direct oversight from senior engineers. Develop process controls execution strategies in conjunction with the overall project development team.

Develop DCS / PLC / HMI programming. Attend studies and reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA, and Alarm Rationalization. Review SIL assessments and assist with SIL verifications.

Participate in Control System Design reviews. Assist in Cyber Security aspects of the scope supply. Attend FAT & SAT for control systems at manufacturer on plant site.

Participate in plant commissioning, validations, and startups. Work with project teams, Clients, and Suppliers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications : Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Entry level position in the oil and gas industry working as a process control engineer.

Eligible to work in the US (United States) (Citizen or Green Card Holder) Hard Skills : Knowledge or ability to learn current automation technologies for DCS, SIS, FGS, including remote I / O for at least one platform.

Knowledge or ability to learn industry standards for documentation, basics and complex regulatory control, loop turning, safety systems, DCS and PLC configuration required.

Knowledge or ability to learn automation networking, with both fiber and copper media. Knowledge or ability to learn to inspect control systems both at factory and in field for adherence to project specifications.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Soft Skills : Effective communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

High efficiency and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with company, Suppliers, and Clients.
