Sr. Consultant, Talent (Remote Consideration)
What you'll be doing
- Provides instructional design (with a focus on management and leadership development), curriculum development and facilitation subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal / external stakeholders on complex assignments / projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging management and leadership developments / trends (through research, internal / external benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc.
assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
- Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and / or departmental / enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal / external stakeholders on complex assignments / projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve management and leadership development experiences’ quality across the team, department and / or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and / or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Leverages instructional design concepts & standards to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate customized learning solutions for their assigned area(s).
- Designs and develops instructional materials (tutorials, job aids, reference guides, audio / video scripts, story boards, navigational text, tests, etc.
that transform complex information into professionally written, interactive multimedia instruction.
- Advises learning and development colleagues and key stakeholders on approaches to incorporate new trends and best practices in adult learning into current & future training solutions.
- Leads administration of career management tools and provides subject matter expertise to HR and business clients to develop robust and actionable individual development plans
- Serves as a subject matter expert to the HR community for all talent development tools and consults on approaches to best leverage tools to support business needs
- Supports talent management in the development, administration, and successful enterprise-wide deployment of a wide variety of talent programs
- Collaborates with HR Partners and other stakeholders to develop just-in time’ training and experiences to meet talent-specific needs of business clients
- Develops metrics and conducts complex data analysis to evaluate and report on effectiveness of talent development programs / initiatives ( return-on-investment, employee engagement, etc.)
- Participates in a diverse range of talent projects; including but not limited to consultation, needs analysis, planning, design / development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation.
What we’re looking for
- 5 years of facilitation experience with senior managers
- 4 Year / bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- 5 7+ Years of Human Resources and / or Talent Management experience directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
- Demonstrated success developing strong relationships with business leaders by listening and accurately interpreting information.
- Instructional Design education and experience Andragogy background.
- Demonstrated success designing, developing and facilitating Manager and Leadership Development
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions / presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients ( senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
- Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior / executive management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and use metrics to monitor and advance workplace programs.
- Critical thinker with an ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or strategy.
- Demonstrated ability ( emotional intelligence skills) to successfully navigate interpersonal business situations to get desired business results.
- Demonstrated success participating in cross-functional projects.

The pay range for this position is $90,300 - $164,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law.
Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
