A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney with over 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and complex litigation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, exceptional research and writing skills, and a deep understanding of coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze insurance policies and provide coverage opinions.
- Draft coverage position letters and pleadings.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance coverage issues.
- Manage complex insurance litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Advise clients on risk management and insurance regulatory matters.
- Participate in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations related to insurance disputes.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to junior attorneys and legal staff.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and complex litigation.
- Strong understanding of coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.
- Excellent academic credentials with superior research and writing ability.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently.
- Proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes in insurance litigation.
Education and Certifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
