Hiring ACD position that will lead into a Clinical Director position!
Job Summary :
The Assistant Clinical Director provides clinical oversight to all staff in the center under the direction of the Clinical Director.
This individual will serve as a mentor and leader, providing high-level clinical case support to clients and their supervising BCBAs / BCaBAs, while assisting in aligning local clinical practices and operating procedures to organization-wide expectations.
Qualifications :
Staff must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for an Assistant Clinical Director position :
Holds a master’s degree and is BCBA certified
Staff must be in good standing with the company (i.e., not on a current action plan) and / or be able to provide at least two professional references
SafetyCare certified or able to become certified
Completed 8-hour supervision training
Staff must have strong leadership skills and communicate effectively both orally and written
Experience with a variety of skills assessments, curricula, and behavioral assessments (i.e., VB-MAPP, AFLS, Early Denver Model, PEAK, QABF, MAS, etc.)
Has strong interpersonal skills : can remain calm and objective in situations where staff or parents are showing high emotions, is able to maintain professional boundaries with supervisees and other clinical staff, is comfortable delivering constructive feedback while being open to opposing perspectives, can mediate day-to-day disagreements or conflicts between staff members, etc.
Additional preferred, but not mandatory, criteria include :
Have been BCBA (or in combination with BCaBA certification) certified for a minimum of two years
CPR / First Aid certification
Reports to : Clinical Director
Job Responsibilities :
Assist the Clinical Director with the following tasks :
BCBA Oversight
Provide clinical oversight through monthly BCBA evaluations to ensure quality of services
Reviews treatment plans, provides feedback to BCBA for edits, and submits authorizations. Ensures deadlines are met for submissions.
Provide support and guidance for authorization utilization modifications and denials; sits in / conduct peer reviews with BCBAs
Attend first parent meeting with BCBA for new client or as needed
Is the main point of contact for escalated parent concerns
Coordinates additional supports with Regional Director as needed for challenging cases
Provide ongoing training to BCBAs and BCaBAs in weekly clinical meetings
Provide mentorship by conducting one-on-one check-ins with BCBAs / BCaBAs to create goals and review progress of goals
Conduct bi-monthly co-consultation with each BCBA (can complete consultation evaluation during this co-consultation)
RBT Oversight
Oversees that all RBT supervision hours are met monthly
Ensures all RBT renewal competency assessments are assigned to an appropriate BCBA or assistant assessor and completed within the 45-day window
Conduct quarterly check-ins with all RBTs (for those clinics without a Director of Operations)
CSP Oversight
Ensuring supervising BCBAs are meeting one-on-one with their supervisees weekly
Ensuring monthly verification forms / other documentation is completed monthly
Providing additional training / supervision if the CSP’s supervising BCBA is out
Client Responsibilities
May hold a small caseload
Supervise and ensure completion of effective, evidence-based individualized treatment plans, behavior support plans, and assessments for all clients
Review and edit all treatment plans, ITPs, and BIPs before they are sent to insurance and / or reviewed with parents
Conduct parent interview during initial assessments and write insurance packet
In addition to their own caseload, supports a flex caseload as needed as the interim BCBA in the event coverage cannot be obtained, including all responsibilities that encompass a caseload (i.
e., providing consultation, conducting parent meetings, writing auth packets, program updates, etc.)
Core Admin Tasks
Writes and presents BCBA and CSP reviews with Clinical Director
Compiles data and writes written warning and action plans for clinical infractions or supports BCBAs in writing these
Presents all clinical warnings and action plans to staff
As Needed Tasks
Serve as the clinical contact when the CD is out of the building
Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
Administer medication to clients if other leadership staff is unavailable
Provides behavior management support, including responding to problem behaviors
Provide oversight and support for clinical training of RBTs and completion of competency assessments
