Job Description
Overview of the Position :
The General Manager provides leadership and vision to the organization by working with Senior Management to set long range and annual company goals.
Implement and develop strategies to achieve these goals while staying within identified budget. Oversee the daily function and operation of all production shops, logistics, quality control, and customer service.
Develop and be held accountable for an effective flow of product that meets customer expectation while meeting company forecasted expectations.
Enhance the team's cohesiveness through people development, company strategy, and overall direction
Salary Wage Range : $170,000 to $190,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist the company President with the development and management of the operational plan and budget. Report the progress of plans to leadership team.
- Research and create analysis documents and proposals as needed to assist the company in determining and meeting its long and short-term goals.
- Identify P&L cost and overhead containment, pricing policies, inventory, capital expenses, and any other aspects that affect the bottom-line profitability of the organization
- Continually analyze and assess the company's performance against the identified objectives and goals. Immediately define and correct obstacles to set the course of meeting goals.
- Lead and develop the operations teams; responsible for the overall direction, training, coordination, motivation, conflict resolution, succession planning, and evaluation of the team in accordance to company policies and procedures.
- Assure schedules are established in accordance with customer requirements, and that ship schedules are maintained in accordance with those requirements.
- Manage weekly shop production meetings where shop managers and sales staff discuss schedules, workload assignments, and blocking issues.
- Maintain surveillance over shop employee product, processes, and subsequently identifies additional training requirements.
- Identify new processes and procedures that can improve time management, reduce labor hours and recover components that promote profits and increase value to the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Prefer Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent experience.
- Advanced leadership experience, analytical, and decision making skills.
- Demonstrates leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
- Knowledge of industry related sales and marketing principles.
- Excels at operating in a fast past, team environment.

- Strong technical writing skills.
- Has an understanding of both the Repair Station and Design and Development quality manuals.
- Ability to understand regulatory requirements for airworthiness for FAA and various foreign authorities.
- Experience in the quality control and new product development within the aviation industry.
Requirements
Education / Experience Requirements :
Prefer associates, or bachelor's degree; and 5 years related experience and / or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer 5 years' experience in aerospace and 5 years' experience in a managerial and / or other Sr. Leadership role.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
