What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the Department of Defense (DOD)? We’re looking for a system administrator who specializes in Linux System Administration with scripting experience to help us build and maintain advanced research and development labs.
As a system administrator on our project, you’ll ensure the infrastructure is functional and available. You will collaborate with experts to deploy hardware and software resources, constantly looking for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technologies and implementation strategies.
You will be responsible for the deployment and administration of compute servers, storage devices, and network equipment such as switches and firewalls.
You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like automation, virtualization, and storage.
We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team-work through challenges and develop new methodologies.

You Have :
4+ years of experience in Linux Systems Administration within a professional work environment
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Shell
TS / SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Clearance :
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
TS / SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
