The BENCO Inside Parts Sales and Inventory Representative is responsible for selling parts and automotive equipment within a designated territory which includes retail and wholesale customers.
The individual in this role determines prices on parts, creates long-term customer relationships and resolves issues promptly.
JOB DUTIES :
- Processes customer orders taken via phone or email; may visit customer sites on occasion as part of the sales process
- Maintains awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
- Conducts sales transactions with adherence to store / company policies and procedures
- Maintains parts inventory, which includes ordering, stocking and record keeping
- Works closely with vendors so that orders, returns and warranties are processed timely and accurately
- Ensures warehouse is clean and organized; performs shipping and receiving duties, including the processing of freight deliveries and unloading trucks
- Performs regular cycle counts of physical inventory
- Completes all related reports accurately and on time
- Assists other team members as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience and must have a thorough knowledge of the automotive service and shop equipment business and sales approaches
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the company as well as customers, vendors and visitors
- Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Competency using a forklift and pallet-jack
- Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
