The Courtesy Van Driver 2 is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of staff, faculty, visitor’s patients and patient-related items throughout the University, Medical Center and surrounding facilities as instructed.
Drivers are to comply with all State and Federal Traffic Laws at all times, as well as with the organizations regulations.
Must operate the vehicles assigned in a safe and courteous manner at all times. Must maintain a current and valid commercial driver’s license issued by the State of California.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Performs other duties as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of professional driving experience preferred. Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
Class B driver’s license with passenger’s endorsement required. Drivers operating vehicles to and from airport facilities are preferred to have a Chauffeurs endorsement.
Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.
- g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others;
- work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone;
- think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve;
