Job Summary :
Join our team as a Senior Technical Product Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in improving our payment systems. You'll work with both our traditional systems (ISO 8583) and the latest technologies (ISO 20022) to ensure they meet the current and future needs.
You'll collaborate with key stakeholders to create valuable services that help our clients deliver payment products and services on a large scale, strengthening Central 1's position in the market.
What you'll be doing :
- Effectively convey Central 1 scope and encourage clients / partners to prepare and plan for modernized payments integration
- Develop an understanding of client systems to help inform and shape the approach for Central 1 when planning updates / revisions / new products
- Establish strong relationships with technical resources for clients and their core banking providers to assist in product planning, triaging of incidents, etc.
- Assist product teams in establishing and managing enhancements and version updates to integration specifications to support new payment types, operational excellence, and regulatory changes
- Work with the Central 1 Integration Architects and development teams to create and maintain technical specifications (including version control) and integration guides for legacy and modern financial messages and payment APIs
- Maintain industry knowledge and expertise, stay on top of changes and map out implications to Central 1 and our clients
- Influence the development roadmap to meet emergent standards and continue to evolve best practices for financial messaging
- Prepare and communicate roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders
- Establish a centre of excellence and knowledge base to assist in seamless client implementations so that products can be adopted more quickly with less demand on Central 1 and client resources
- Provide strong support and mentoring for the Client Delivery resources for excellence in client integration projects and product implementations
- Represent Central 1 at industry technology and message development working groups
- Participate in sales meetings with clients and new prospects to ensure a clear understanding of technical components for integration to Central 1 systems
- Participate in the implementation planning meetings with clients to support development of the technical areas for the Statement of Work and ensure clients have a clear understanding of the integration requirements
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership, people management and "customer-centricity" skills including solid communication and analytical skills with a thorough understanding of client integrations
- Drive the implementation of standards, methods, metrics and procedures ensuring and evaluating the quality of the client integration experience
- Influence decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Communicate effectively within the immediate team, Central1 leadership, clients and other partners.
- Collaborate with the Central 1 development teams in planning changes and providing insights on impact to clients
What you'll have :
- Bachelors / Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in Software Development / Engineering filed
- A natural leader with a strong sense of empathy and collaboration
- An expert in the ISO 20022 and other standards including the message flows for financial transactions to core banking systems - debits, credits, reversals
- Expertise in APIs, Microservices, Integration patterns and frameworks, Enterprise Service Bus
- Good experience in Payments domain knowledge (Wires, Interac e-Transfer, Bill Payments, Automated Funds Transfer)
- Excellent knowledge of banking systems and protocols e.g. ISO 20022 / 8583
- Experience in performance tuning, optimization, monitoring of SLAs
- Knowledge of networking / security protocols / encryption / key
- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), integration platforms Mulesoft, Postman,
- Strong analytic thinking with expertise in understanding the integration between systems
- Strong communicator
- Experience managing change, emerging standards, regulatory updates, and transition between versions
Salary : $130,700
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
